Loosen it up, hop on the rear bumper, first on the left, then on the right, several times...let it cycle several times while loose, then tighten. Other than that, sounds like you're on point. The leafs will settle in over time.

Finished the mirrors mounted on the front quarters so I don't get ticketed for driving with the doors off. A few more days and I should finally be able to take it for a drive without them on. Now to figure out what to do with those pesky front door speakers so I can still have music when the doors are off, any ideas?

I have seen two speakers mounted on the sides of the center console. If done rite it looks pretty nice.

I'm tryna figure that one out as well. I don't wanna blow out my rear speakers by turnin up the volume cause it ain't loud enough.

I wonder if it's possible to put an xj rear sound bar up front between front and rear seats. . Kind of like the wranglers.

The grills are kinda small, but there should be speaker grills at either end of the dash board knee bolster. Nice mirrors BTW

It is. It's a pretty common solution to the doorless speaker issue
