What did you do to your Cherokee today?
Nah, I rarely have rear seat passengers anymore and it stays folded down 3/4 of the time for hauling stuff around. Also, the donor had a split rear seat, I don't remember seeing that before but it was also torn and really stained. I may have mine recovered at some point with a matching velour, but for now it's fine.

Started the headlight harness upgrade. Routing the plug past the radiator was way more difficult than the write up led me to expect. By the time I discovered I had self-drilling screws but not the adapter I needed to use my drill on them, I was out of daylight and patience.

Worked on resoldering the window switches. At least that was the plan. The switches are hard to remove, but they won't break...so they say. I broke the first one. Ugh. Got another one coming from Amazon. I normally don't care about rolling down the windows, but eventually I'm going to get pulled over, and experience tells me that cops don't like it when you don't roll down your window. Also tracking down a vacuum leak that's causing my front vents to switch to the defroster vent.

Quite the opposite, I'm afraid. Thicker oil = lower fuel economy. Lucas is too thick to be in anything but maybe a gearbox in Nicaragua. Would you mind sharing a photo of the center console? I've always been curious if the shifters are just like the XJ or not. Looks good. Am I correct in assuming your seat braces were good enough to keep?
