Cleaned out the cargo area only to have it rain and soak my makeshift cardboard box toolbox again (back window busted out) so my tools and everything ended up all over the place again when the box busted.
Went to Home Depot and bought a set of torx sockets and a toolbox.

Thank you.
What year is it? Earlier Cherokees had a vacuum disconnect front axle that is supposed to engage when the case is shifted into 4WD. If the system is faulty, i.e. no vacuum, it won't work.

learned the importance of skid plates. This dent allowed me NOT to install my fuel pump without removing the tank and beating the dent out. I know it was risky but it worked. Now I'm going to put on the stock skid from my 91 and buy a JCR one for me! Sure it's a stock skid but it will be a one time savior when I need it most I'm sure.
Sure it runs now but the dang fuel gauge is still wrong! Before I'm pretty sure it was because of the dent but now it reads almost empty(below 1/8th) all the time. I'll worry about it later though since the pump can be removed without taking the tank out. I did test the fuel level reader before putting the pump in and it worked from full to empty so I think the floater may have gotten caught under the in tank filter......we'll see when I get around to it though. NOTE: this is a complete assembly new fuel pump.

Took a half dozen pictures of the temp gauge on the way home in 90 degree ambient conditions to depict different cooling conditions and how my Jeep responds.

Finally got around to fixing the wiring harness that goes to the transmission and T-case. A few weeks ago if fell on the front drive shaft and tore it apart. I spliced it back together on the side of the road and got home.

Got my replacement front axle swapped in, of course the LCA bolts were seized to the inner bushing collar. No amount of pounding turning or swearing was going to break them loose, so they got sawz-alled. Need a new track bar lower bolt (snapped). Going to finish by putting brakes back on. Then its out the door with that jeep. Also ordered a RE 5.5" LA for my 2000
