Picked up a 10ft stick of .25 wall 2x4 tubing for my rear tire carrier build, just gotta wait for my stick of 2x2 to come in and then I'll finally be able to get started.

Ordered brown dog rubber motor mounts with the Cherokee Forum discount, and a transmission mount. Tomorrow I might install zj steering depending on how lazy I feel with all this rain.

I installed one a few days ago, using cruiser54's instructions. Easy to install, headlights are brighter but it's not like night/day. Glad I did it, ordered a 4 headlight harness for my land cruiser.

I worked on friends' jeeps all weekend, didn't get to do anything to my own. One was a TJ belonged to a young marine who was home for the holidays, who needed a new steering gear box and a TRE to fix some severe slop. Another was a young lady with an XJ who found a leak on her wheel cylinder; we had to rebuild both drums and run new hard lines on the rear axle to fix that, and then we rebuilt the front axle u-joints during some of the downtime. Two more jeeps safe(r) to drive.

Yesterday into today I played in the snow. Got 11 inches or so here in Green Bay WI. Pulled out 11 people. Was kind of pissed at first because I had to use 4x4. Meaning I got stuck at a gas station parking lot. Plows stop at my complex so I kept it in 4x4 and pulled people into their parking spots.
Winds were pretty bad and some areas where I was helping people (again mainly parking lots) had snow up to the top of my bumper. I have roughly 3.5" of lift with 31" firestone tired. Needless to say I didn't get stuck once (minus the rear wheel drive moment at the gas station. Which also had a big snow drift)
Gotta say I had a blast. This morning when the roads where a bit better I stayed mainly in rear wheel and had a bit of fun in the turns with the back end kicking out slightly. First real snow storm with my firestones. They did great!

I wasn't home to do it, but my brother dug my XJ out of the snow bank that had been accumulating around it and attempted to start it last night. Battery dead. After sitting on the charger overnight, it fired up this morning.
