I don't like those air vent switches... Need all the air flow I can get... I just put 3 pole micro switches in the blank panel next to/ behind the steering wheel. A lot more useful with the 3 pole, smaller and don't take up my air

I tested them out and it honestly does not seem to affect air flow

I put a diode in the opposite headlight socket from my harness. On low setting, only the low headlight relay gets power. But on bright setting, both the low and high relays get power.

I don't like the "multi function" switch. Seems to me one of the multiple functions is to catch fire.
Had the dimmer resistor fail one dark dark night, many miles from home, cold and windy. Could smell the meltdown; lucky save. Proved purpose of carrying a small tool kit with flashlight.
Today I run separate fused circuits via relays for running lights, headlights, interior. I have a new multi switch but after the original melt down I didn't trust it, it sits on the parts shelf in the land of missfit toys.
Today tried to harvest the rear end, diff and leaf springs, from the parts jeep XJ. Got the drive shaft out and the shocks free and clear. 20 deg and wind gusting to 40mph, and blowing snow, after a morning of steady rain, and a nice slush poodle under the parts truck. Wet and cold is wet enough. The rest of the parts can wait till the puddle freezes over. And the wind and snow volume continue to increase. Visibility is down to 150 ft.
Well the XJ recently did get some attention.
The Peep did just receive new upper and lower ball joints, steering damper, (over 400Kkm on those parts), alignment, cured the developing DWobble, full lube (factory scheduled 748Kkm oil & filter, 18 grease nipples, power steering fluid change, coolant test) wires, rotor, cap, power steering return line repair, snow tires. The insurance company discounted $50 for the Peep XJ and up to $60 each for the ZJ and WJ for having mounted the snow tires sets. Cleaned up some of the ground points (again) and WD40'd some of the harness and connectors locations.
The Track Bar is starting to show/feel some play at the upper mounting, not quite visible yet but I'm sure I can feel it by hand. Will source an adjustable for the spring to go with the next 2-3 inches of incremental lift (net true 5" minimum objective).
The ZJ will transition to my daily driver and the Peep will see the more serious side of my offroad insanity.
All the best to Cherokee Forum Members in this new year!
Even if you just plan for your next Jeep project you've done something for your Cherokee that day.
