Back from the shop plus Lift came in today
Got '94 back from an alignment and tire balance, steering wheel is straight now. Front tires were off balance by 1-2oz. wheeling will do that. They wanted 170$ to change the front pinion seal, no thanks. I will do it myself
Pulled the cable bracket from the hood release on the '00, very rusted hence the brocken release cable. Bracket is soaking in PB Blaster for the next couple of days, as I got the wrong release cable sent to me . Whats left of the rivets is still stuck in the hood. Quit working b/c the mosquitoes started their attack.
Un-packaged my RE 5.5" LA today. Sweeeet .
Any links or tips for installing the RE 6300 kit appreciated. Woried about the welding for the cross-member. I don't trust my skills for structural. Also can't tell what cross-member parts are supposed to be welded, they are all powder-coated????

Frame Braces
I cut out some 3/16 plate to make frame braces for the front, including steering box brace on drivers side. Also picked up a 9" ford complete housing for $50 for rear end parts.

Swapped in some '703' Neon injectors. It started and ran; it did not catch on fire.
Slightly better pick up, maybe a little more power, that could be wishful thinking. I topped up the tank and reset the trip odo, we shall see.

So I went to the jeep dealer today and was looking at the new rubacons. Stock lockers with a D44 rear (not sure of the front), electronic disco's, fairly good factory armor. All the goodies. I started wanting one bad. But, then I started looking at my xj and realized that I would never have as much fun in a new rig. I would be worried about things like paint and dents. and a host of other trying to keep my rig nice concerns. I drove away loving my xj all the more. Maybe one day ill trade her in, but not today!
