There is one in here that is how it looked when I got the XJ about two years ago and the other one is the bastard pack just waiting for the top leaf to arrive.

I'm confused. Never seen that version before. I'm assuming its a modification to the stock carrier bumper with some homemade brackets. Is it mounted to the tail light?

It's aftermarket. Made by Valley Industries. Hinge bracket and latch bracket attach via the tail light lens hardware plus two carriage bolts into the bumper each side. All the OEM tire carrier attachment brackets were still on my vehicle, but none were used for this tire carrier.

Haha, I had to stop and move the camera just to get that shot after I want through that section. Need a second camera so I can get both shots at once.
