Installed rear shocks. Only one broken bolt to deal with. No more clunking from the rear.

Default A little lower please

Pulled off the drums to clean off all the crud from inside and then adjusted them. Overall braking performance improved dramatically.
Took first step in lowering XJ, from 5" to 3.5 - 4". Purchased Iron Rock stock-height or 3/4" lift shackles. All I need now is 4" lift coil springs.

Cut off the upper control arm brackets for my long arms kit and got to work scraping off the crud on the frame so I can weld on some stiffeners. I was about to head to the local 4x4 shop to put clothes up parts to upgrade my cooling system, but found out I didn't have any money

Man, Rob...that thing is looking REAL good...psyched for you, man, when I put my stroker in, it took a bit, but the day I turned the key, and it fired right up...man, that was awesome. Looking forward to seeing you get this done.

Bravo.

Purdy. Mind posting an approximate price for the swap? I don't personally care about the nickels and dimes; just vaguely curious.

as of right now about 4k i should have it done at about 4500or less

i could have done it cheeper if i had used the truck intake, water pump and alt/ P/S bracket.

plus i have a 2wd 4l60e that came with the motor i need to sell. plus what ever i recoupe on the 4.0/aw4/231

i also live in south texas where drivetrains are more expensive(cars dont rust out here)

ive seen some do it for >3500

i figured it was work the extra effort to cleen it up and paint it while it was out, especially since i decided to run the ls1 intake.

New front shocks. I'll save the fun for later this week.
