Popped in a new track bar and steering stabilizer on my lunch break today... And figured out how to link my phone to the pioneer via Bluetooth.

Lol, I feel so fancy.

Spent the better part of yesterday working on my TC overhaul, almost finished just need to do from the pump back.

Ran into two problems that kept me from finishing it up in a day. First was the crappy snap ring pliers I had. They said they were heavy duty on the packaging. Not sure what they were heavy duty in comparison to, but I think they may have used cooked noodles as the standard

Then there was the fact that someone else had been inside the TC before me. Someone that really like to use liberal amounts of RTV. I wasn't expecting great things when I saw the big ugly black beads on the outside of the case, but who ever worked on it before used so much that there was actually RTV in the input bearing and restricting most of the oil passages

With any luck I can finish it up tonight after work, and be ready to bolt everything back in and fill it with fluid on Sunday after work.

you need to use lock ring pliers instead of snap ring pliers

lock ring pliers have a duck-bill tip that is good for spreading the lock rings apart

Picked up a press from Advance before work. Hit happy hour for a bit for a pint or two of motivation then came home and pressed out the old ball joints. Twist twist hammer hammer. Not exactly easy but not too bad. I broke my only breaker bar so I was working w/ a 12' adjustable wrench so that was a handicap.

Put the new ones in the freezer and will press them in manana. Need to do the u-joints too then I can reassemble.

Should help, supposed to anyway. Funny that I shot all the ball joints w/ PB for the last 2 days and after I pulled them they were completely dry, no penetration at all. Between shrinking them with the cold and being able to use some lube, the new ones should go in easier than the old ones came out.
