I think it's the Nathan's offroad bumper but I was lucky enough to find it a a PullaPart and got it for $50 of a wreck xj. It did need a few repairs thou before install. It held up pretty well in the wreck, look at the mounting brackets, that's is the shape the xj frame was that I got it off of.

Usually, bad ball joints.
It happened to my Comanche very suddenly in the highway once. We aren't sure what broke first, but the entire driver side of the axle was ****ed in 15 seconds as I pulled over. The axle shaft walked 3" out of its home, and my brakes failed as we loaded it on the tow truck. (That isn't a normal failure, of course.)

Drove up north to get my boat out of storage. Then had to go to Gladwin to pick up my dog who ran in a field trial there. The wash board roads were so bad my adjustable steering column came loose and I wasn't sure I was going to make it home. Well it's parked now till I can get the special tools to repair it.
