I thought the fenders looked a little bare, so i added some style.

$4 Stencils @ HD
$6 Rattle Can
2 hours cleaning, sanding, taping, painting, and drying.

Im pretty Happy with it. there was a little unintentional overspray, but a little was preferred.

My Jeep is a 98, Model ZJ, with a 5.2L V8

A couple weeks ago i convinced my buddy to cut and fold his fenders.

He loves it!

But we found a nice surprise when we cut the rear passenger fender open!

Little plants growing just fine in total darkness, right above his exhaust.

This is the first time I've ever removed a transmission so this is a bit of a milestone for me. It took me a few days of cross referencing my Haynes manual, this forum, and Bleepinjeep for me to figure this out, along with several runs to the store, but I got it.

Now I get to see if I can manage to convert my dead internal slave cylinder to an external... Stay tuned...
Congrats on the milestone! Good luck with the swap.

I have a 96, oil cap and dip stick shows healthy oil, no leaks (most of the time in an interior parking, so I would definitely notice). I'll have to look further into this.

Holy crap dude... I WISH mine looked that good. I can't believe that Jeep is in Canada. I wouldn't worry about doing anything there except for a rust-converter such as POR15 or Chasis Saver.

Mine is standing by for a completel replacement.

Yes I actually bought the 7 slot panel.
Didn't you plastic-weld one of your own as well?

Common misconception. The real damage is in the Rust Belt, which is this ****ty zone where the temperature is just warm enough that the roads ice up really easily and freezing rain is regular. He's pretty far up there, should get more snow than ice.

Also, I think Quebec uses less salt, they require winter tires. Down here the idiot road crews dump all kinds of filth for the ******** running summer tires in February.

Ehhh I'm not sure he's determined if the floor is still attached to the wheel wells anymore lol

Isn't yours from the Rust Belt?

True, but I still would've expected to see more rust than that.

Nope, mine has been titled and driven in Florida all of its life... however, I suspect at some point, someone may have hauled some kind of chemical in the back and spilled it due to the amount of rust underneath the carpet in the back. The rust on the floorboards in the front is really not that bad and the holes are typical of a vehicle exposed to sea breeze combined with the heat over the muffler and cat (where the holes in the floorboard are).

Maybe it's just me, but due to the inconsistency of the condition of the rear cargo floor versus the rest of the floors (passenger side being "worse" than driver), I would assume the rust was as a result of a spill of some sort.

Interesting assessment. That MD plate is a little suspicious, however...

The roof rack setup was cool, but murder on my Hwy gas mileage & handling.

So this morning I stripped it all off, including the factory crossbars. Kinda digging the nekkid look.

Little crowded in the back, lol, but I'll reorganize it later. It'll do till I get a swing-out for it.

And finally overcame my laziness enough to swap out my squally idler, lol.
