No, not like the heat soak your MPI 4.0L has. Your fuel is injected directly into the cylinder unlike mine. Mine is injected into the opening of the manifold then has to flow twords the cylinders. By heating it, it vaporizes instead of pouring into the cylinders. This is my fuel setup, a simple old school GM Throttle Body Injection. I have only ONE injector compared to your six injectors. Much like a carburetor (Half of you kids dont even know what that is anymore....) my fuel is "injected" into the manifolds opening. (Where the throttle body would be on your 4.0's). Its a simple as you can get, no major electronics or wires, No OBD, just an injector for fuel, a MAP and O2 for fuel control (Speed Density System) and a CPS to trigger my ignition.

Replaced the sensor only to find the same result... Checked fire, plenty of spark... Sprayed a smudge of stared fluid and she fired up. So, fuel issues had a 1/4ish on the gauge with 74 miles till empty. Didn't hear the pump priming. Checked voltage and grounds which were all good. Great... Fuel pump. started dropping the fuel tank, and after loosing the other strap could tell it was extremely light .... Long story short lol I ended up dropping the tank and cleaning the sending unit. Basically just ran out of gas :facepalm: funny lookin back on it... But wasn't my plans for a Saturday morning hehe

You evidently don't remember that all 4cyl engines in the Cherokee from 1986 thru 1990 had the throttle body injectors. They were a pita but that is what they had.

Well, this morning after mowing the lawn (after working all night) I decided to get rid of all the wind-catchers up top that really aren't doing me any good driving around every day. I rarely haul stuff on the roof anymore and the lights, aside from not being bright enough to begin with, aren't used at all because I never go wheeling at night (yet). So not that I'm trying to double my MPGs, but there's not point having the drag up there if they're not serving a purpose.
I think I like it better. I still have the Yakima rails with me in case I need to haul anything up there, I can just bolt them back on.
Also, received my ZJ door plugs today, couresty of 94XjSport94. THANKS WILL!!!!

You would be suprised at how many people here think that the 4.0L is the ONLY engine Jeep ever used. Jeep has had various engines. Ive worked on every one available as well. Carburetors and REAL engine tuning is a long lost art. Majority of the young think "tuning" is pushing a button on your laptop which actually requires no skill whatsoever. NOTE I've said majority and not all. For there are new members everyday who know absolutely nothing, thats why they ask us here. Thats also why us older members stay around. We have wrenched on just about everything Jeep has had to offer and can give our experience and expertise so they may become educated on their matters. Trust me, Google search will never be a replacement for actual skill and knowledge. After all, its programmed by humans, humans are fallible.
As for my engine, i believe it's been stated many times I've stroked the engine to 3.0L. I believe you have asked me about it before if I'm not mistaken.

As to your engine, a stroked 2.5 seems like a marvelous idea. I do not recall talking about your engine with you before though.

Anyways, I finally got to the point on these fog lights to take a picture. Got them to fit in the grill pretty cleanly. Still have to aim them when they get some wiring, but at least they're in the damn grill. Only took about 2 flippin weeks to get mounted...
Also cleaned the engine up in prep for the relay box and battery going in. Used some of that purple power style degreaser. I cut it down in the bottle pretty good but it still wanted to take a little red paint with it if I scrubbed too hard. It does a pretty great job though.
