What did you do to your Cherokee today?
No, I don't lick fish.
You ditchin' the taillights or just not worried about overspray?
Nice. I really need to get started on my floors. Having to buy replacement parts for this thing keeps setting me back though.
Ordered a replacement MOPAR CPS this morning from a site called "MoparAmerica"... this afternoon, they emailed me saying the part had been discontinued. Thanks. Woulda been nice to know that in advance, but hey, at least they didn't charge my card and they got back to me right away... so I'll give 'em a free pass on that one.
Ended up finding TWO listings on ebay for them BOTH of which said "1 remaining" so I ordered one of them... luckily it's from a dealership about 4 hours south of here (used to pass by it all the time when I lived down there) so hopefully it will be here by the weekend - not that I'm looking forward to changing it.

I changed out the interior lights to LEDs last night. By far my favorite thing that I have done. Anyone who is on the fence about this... best $30 I've spent on this thing so far. Got them from Onewaylight, the product is very nicely packaged, each lighting "area" is separated and labeled and has good, clear instructions.
And I pulled apart the plastic pieces that give the light a pattern (no idea what this is called) and tossed 'em. Now the map light covers/buttons are completely clear. I think it turned out pretty cool.

Finished new headlight harness and fog light harness. Pretty stoked to wire everything up tomorrow and install the new headlights.
Also learned this nifty little trick for soldering wires end to end. Take a piece of wire from a scrap and pull off one of the strands. Wrap the strand around your joint to keep everything held in place while you're putting the torch to it. Works great.

I FINALLY got the last few odds and ends bolted back together after converting my AX-5 to an external slave cylinder. I had been waiting to take it for a test drive until I got the bumpers back on - I had painted them and they were finally dry.
I gotta say that with the new clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, and fresh fluid in the tranny (I used Synchromesh) the Jeep shifts like a dream!

Yippie skippy. Get it all back together yet?
Nice! I've always just twisted mine together. You going to run relays for the headlights?
