Welcome and congrats! Post some pics and don't hold back any questions you might have about your jeep! Also the search function and "stickies" section are an excellent resources for first time users, as well as some of the more seasoned members who often forget things!

Got two sets of Crossbars for the roof rack, painted one, will paint and add the other set once I get more brackets for my roof basket. Painted the roof basket and will put it all on and add the light bars once the paint dries.

Wonder if you got that in York at the All Breeds show. Saw a Jeep exactly like yours and a guy walking out with a new high lift jack.

Pulled the front driveshaft because the slip joint in it has vertical play. The front yoke of my transfer case has vertical play now too. Gotta get a new front shaft before I kill my tcase.

Took her off-road. Impromptu. At speed.
On 35S from Austin today, truck in front of me suddenly swerved into the next lane... leaving me staring at the cars at a dead stop he almost hit. I jammed on the brakes, but knew it was useless.
With a van beside me, I took my only option. Let off the brakes, and put her into the grass still going 55+.
She bounced, slid, jerked, pretty sure I caught a little air. Finally skidded to a stop, and pulled her back onto the highway. Rest of the way back she drove fine, but I'm of course gonna check her over tomorrow.
Hair raising as hell, but SO glad I was in the jeep. In my lowered mustang, that would have been disastrously less pleasant.
