Pulled mine and rebuilt it a while back, and ended up with an odd whirling noise. I figure it is one of two things, I screwed up on the rebuild, or my rear pinion bearing is gone and I just never heard it over the well worn TC

After I get this moving thing over with I am going to grab another TC and put it in. If the noise is gone or changes, it was my work. If not it is caused by something else. Either way I end up with a spare TC

After driving, use an infra-red temperature gun to look for heat spikes around the suspected bearing, also check temp of pinion. Rear pumpkin should run 130 - 150F highway driving.

You may be getting better mileage than you think. Before I calculate the tire difference, I'm getting about 13 mpg, after I calculate the difference, it's more like 15.
it's swapped, I swapped when I went to 31s with 3.55 and swapped again when I went 4.56. Dead on at 70 according to gps and eyes.

Be glad. It seems strange but I get better mpg since I started beating on my Cherokee sport. I am running a performance chip so that may have something 2 do with it.
