Good idea, but if it's shimmed on one side won't it be off center? And will that quarter hold up to the centrifugal force of around 5000 rpm?

Decided to take a break from cutting wood and resume work on the Tractor Jeep. Rolled him into the garage and started working on this whole "no fuel" thing. Looks like the fuel pump is toast... ffs. At least I have a spare! Just gotta cut both out.

Had her up on 33s. Loved the look and the ground clearance, but sucked at Hwy speed with these gears.

I prefer the look of 33's on that jeep but that's just me. Mileage on the highway make sense and is understandable

Ah ok. Is it pretty hilly where you're at?

Replaced my steering (tie rod, track bar, and all tie rod ends) with ZJ steering, threw a new steering stabilizer, and track-bar bushing in at the same time. Also changed the front diff fluid because it was easy with everything out of the way.

Steering gearbox still has some play though (already tightened up as much as I can before it starts whining). Might need to do that before the winter hits...

Bought this cheap kit off Ebay. All joints are greasable EXCEPT the drag-link joint at the passenger side steering knuckle (and it's non replacable, uugh). The Tie Rod is solid and the same quality.

Should last me a year or so if I don't beat on it too much. For 100 bucks, totally worth it - feels like a new truck.

Did a garage alignment and got it pretty close, but I think I am going to get it professionally aligned if I get some time this week (going to be busy as crap this week though)

Its actually not too bad. I have the windows down most of the time anyway. Its better than it was with the bare roof though. Cancels out some noise. But I like the look and any extra noise doesnt really bother me. Though that does kinda match my color scheme lol
