Finally no more death wobble! New ujoints, wheel hubs, ball joints, and some axle tube seals to top it off. Now I can go 85 down the highway again. Woohoo. Lol

Pulled valve cover off to see if the lifters were making the knocking racket and locate small oil leak. Found leak and tightened a couple lifters but still making noise. So tomorrow I'll put new gasket on. Thoughts on what's making noise? Tried to upload video but won't let me...

No. I checked them when the lobes were up and bumped engine to check all. First time doing it on a jeep but not first time doing it.

No, I don't lick fish.
Sadly 1053 and 1058 were our times. We're usually not that slow, but it was raining like 2 inches an hour and our repeater was acting up, a lot of guys didn't hear the first page so they didn't get going to station until the text message which usually comes a couple mins later.
Station is 12mi from dispatch, so if the repeater isn't working you don't hear much.
I work right in the middle so I usually hear it fine, I was almost there when they repaged.
Swore at mine. Damn iac sticks and I have to smack it with my pliers. I'm sure the neighbors love when it starts and instantly holds 2000 rpm at 730am.

I doubt it matters but here is some little known info about gauge needles, mostly the speedometer. The 'paint' on tip of needle is designed to transfer onto face of dial during a collision, some use a UV tracer that can bee seen with ultraviolet light. This can tell investigators at what speed impact occurred.
Well, as for me... I bought a new stereo for it because the one I had finally degraded into an almost completely useless state. (details in the build thread)
Been wanting this one for about 6 months anyway. Now I can finally add in that 4-channel amp I've had sittin' around.

I think the whole thing would look pretty kickass in desert tan.

Ya, I've thought about doing the whole thing, but other than where I've scarred up the doors, the paints in great shape, seems like a shame.

That's good to hear about that head unit. I did quite a bit of research on it, and I like everything I hear. Kenwood, Pioneer, and Alpine are all great units, but I think Sony's really been stepping up their game with Car Audio lately. I REALLY wanted to get the unit with the built-in amplifier to push it to 100w per channel, but I couldn't justify it since I have that 400wx4 amp sitting in the garage. This one has all the features I want, and for 120 bucks, it's hard to beat the price.

Yeah, I hear ya there. I'm at an end pass on what to do with the paint on mine. The "new" fenders, header, and doors are a different white than then '92. So I can't figure out if I should just repaint the whole thing white ('cause ya know... I'll NEVER get the paint to match the old stuff), repaint it a different color (no clue what), or just grab some white rustoleum, spray bomb it, and hope for the best (to wit, I already have 2 cans of the "professional" grade stuff in white).
I'd reshoot the whole thing white(not with a Rattlecan!). One, I'm biased, lol, I frikin love a white Cherokee with black trim. Two, a color change means doing the Doorjambs, engine bay, etc.
