If it was me... and this is just me... I would trim like this:

More tire clearance AND better approach angle.

I might have to try that. I think it would look good. Doing a little at a time, I can always take more off!

Returned the hood vents I purchased from RodLouvers over a month ago. They were super nice and accepted them back after a little over the required 30 days before returns. If you want louvers, head over to them. I didn't put them on as many in the shop unanimously stated that my newly Line-X'd Jeep would look SO much better without it. In the end I had to agree.

Today I installed my RCx drop brackets, 4.5" RE coils, IRO adjustable trackbar, a new lca bushing (only had to cut one bolt!), and test fitted the jk red tubes for nessasary adapter fabing. Tomorrow will be torqueing everything down, fabing lower shock mounts (I want to add ~1.5" to length), modify swaybar link length by +2.5", and hope trackbar was adjusted adequately, and do a driveway alignment and straighten the steering wheel! Oh and possibly put the longer brake lines on if needed! Then its test drive time!

Looks really good man but JK red monotube shocks are meant for 3" of lift on XJs. I had them for a few months on 3.5 and they limited droop.

Yea I didn't realize they stopped making them until I was ready to install it. Could've sold it for thousands 😝.

Thats why I'm fabing up, for lack of better words, extended bpe's. I want to give it an extra 1.5-2". I know that's not ideal, but it's what I got and I am tapped out on funds for now!

Wasn't me, but friend gave my Jeep a bath. Can't even recall when the last time it's seen soap. It can also move on it's own power now.

Technically I didn't do this to my XJ, but this is what the dealer I sold my XJ to did to my old XJ:
