I finally put the fender flare back on, removed the shims and in the process broke a brake line. So hopefully the vibrations are gone and the brakes are now all back together. I guess I'll see on my hour drive back to school tonight.

Put the back end up on stands to finally get started on the rear disc conversion. I've been wanting to get to that for a couple of months now, but a combination of bad weather, work, family issues, and problems with my daily driver conspired to keep me from starting. So finally having taken the first step today, the transmission on my daily driver starts acting up!

I do have other alternate vehicles available so am going to proceed with the XJ brakes this week. Though there's a hurricane brewing in the Atlantic that may have other ideas, will have to see how it goes. (I have to work outside. Definitely want to get this done before cold weather arrives!)

Redid my differential today. All new bearings and seals also put in new shims. Mow just need to get my tires balanced and it will be good to go. Next up, lift.

Had to test the 4x4 out. Haven't had any since i bought it.

Think I found my favorite picture.

Got 3 out of 4 of my transmission crossmember to unibody bolts to move. Not out yet. Been applying pressure and 50/50 mix over the last couple of days. The fourth is rounding off. I guess I couldn't get away with this being easy

Fabbed up my extended BPE's up front, shocks mounted, everything torqued down, trackbar set (possibly 1/4"- 1/8" off). Took it for a test drive w/o sway bar and Wow! I don't like it! Tomorrow I'll try to get the links extended so I can see if everything is cosher. Man I hope so! Ohh, also the brakelines prob should be extended before I go off road, but will do till I get a chance.

Please give me an honest review of that when you get it installed.

Why heims versus tie rod ends?

Not terribly worried about interior yet...all getting ripped out to do cage work at some point anyways, haha!!!

I will say this about the Tiburon seats...if you are tall and have issues with head room, consider doing this. Lowers the *** end about 2-3 inches. I also have adjustable head rests now, and the seats recline all the way back! Took it for a short drive, the difference is amazing. Seats now hug my legs and torso...feels good, keeps you in place.

Not too shabby for the price of metal for the brackets...seats were free

I see no mention of a torch.

Go buy a MAPP gas torch and heat that **** up for 5 minutes. Then hit the oil again. Maybe have a fire extinguisher handy if you've been blasting oil inside the frame.

What was the reasoning for turning the shock sideways when making the BPEs?

Interesting note on the height. ZJ seats rob headroom! But I'm not so sure Tiburons are that common

Good thing you showed your carpet. I was starting to think your Jeep was actually clean. LOL
