It's taken a couple of full days to prep the Hello Kitty ZJ and Blue Steel WJ for winter duty. (The Peep XJ is in dry dock waiting a longer attention span.)
Both 02WJ and 95ZJ have received full top and underside power washing, shocks all round, front and rear diff fluid changed, oil and filters (use an 8A type filter for about 300ml increased capacity), T Case fluid, and transmission gaskets, filters and fluid change. All grease fittings lubricated and joints checked for condition (all joints good to go with many having been serviced earlier in the year).
Finished up with an interior wash, vacuum, windows, and air fresheners.
Ta da, everyone else has a jeep ready to go. Hey wait what about time the the PeepXJ?
No time for that dad, you have to get the turkey in the oven.
Ok, so in the interest of food safety I power washed the turkey in scalding hot water and a thorough scrubbing with a mix of lysol, bleach, laundry detergent, and a water mix wax for that attractive shine. To keep the bird from drying out a good brushing with WD40 then straight into the oven for 6 hours at 1325 degrees.
Happy Thanksgiving to all, and if your hungry, dinner is served at 4:00!

Fixed the window regulator in rear door. Had to remove it for disassembly and to re-spool the cable around drum.
Also locked myself out of vehicle. Luckily it happened while at home. Two ceder shakes, coated wire, and ten minutes got me in. I believe the XJ is more difficult to get into with the gutters being in the way.

Drove it for the last time this year.. it's going down for some new suspension mods and one ton axels and a stroker rebuild now that it's off dd duties it's getting a 3 link up front and 4 link in the rear with 8inch lift on 40s and an atlas tc twin stick. Hopefully it will be done by spring time for a trip to mohab for the jeep safari

Good news! I was able to score both backing plates, calipers and studs for my KJ disk brake conversion. Only cost me $40. I have to buy new brake hoses, pads, rotors, and parking brake hardware but I can get a discount on all of that through my work. Now I need to learn how to remove my axle shafts since I have a full case locker.

Harbor Freight - they have a couple of different size hydraulic pullers, the 12-ton is their largest/heaviest model. It's a bit awkward to set up but does the job.
