What did you do to your Cherokee today?

Started my 2" BB lift on the Green Gremlin last night with a buddy. Got the rear done in and hour, then got the front dropped down and discovered that we did need that spring compressor after all. Late night parts store run for the win. Got the passenger front in with no further problems. drivers side puck would not fit due to the bump stop being bent somehow. Beat and ground on the puck for a while then called it quits at 11. Will finish it up tonight. Will post pics when its done!!

Finished up the rear disc conversion. Installed the ZJ proportioning valve guts, bled the brake system, modified and hooked up the XJ parking brake cables, and adjusted the parking brake.
If I had known what a PITA it would be to cut down the spring covering the parking brake cable I probably would have just bought cables to fit. But it seems to work OK.
Also installed the new diff cover using a gasket and Permatex #2 sealer, and filled with Valvoline synthetic 75W-140 gear oil. Should be easier to deal with than a mass of RTV next time the cover needs to be removed.
I'm looking forward to road testing, but I have some more I want to do while the Jeep is up on stands and am running out of time for today. (Going to spray the underside with Fluid Film rust preventative for the coming winter season and also want to change the transfer case oil.)

What axle do you have? If it's a c-clip axle, there should still be a window for the c-clips. Just grab yourself a magnet and rotate the carrier downward at an angle so you have the magnet and gravity to help you. If it's a semi-float axle (dana 44, 8.8 w/ c-clip elim.) the carrier makes no difference, the axle flange is what holds it in.

Ripped a bunch of useless crap from my 89, and sorted through some wires.
Cleaned up the 95 xj brake booster to put in it, just need to widen the hole on the shaft and it will be ready to go in.

Drove it for the last time this year.. it's going down for some new suspension mods and one ton axels and a stroker rebuild now that it's off dd duties it's getting a 3 link up front and 4 link in the rear with 8inch lift on 40s and an atlas tc twin stick. Hopefully it will be done by spring time for a trip to mohab for the jeep safari
