Do I really care about your opinion on my mustache? last I checked that'd be a negative lol I actually did shave it all off while I was at college, thought my girlfriend would like it, shows what I get for thinking!!! I do look kinda weird in those pics. Might have to teach the buddy dome camera skills haha

Yesterday I got some new shoes!
This time went with a milder tread because the BFG mud terrain KM1's suck. They like to chop and scallop so easily, constantly throwing the tires out of balance every few thousand miles. The only remedy is to rotate them all the freaking time, which is honestly a pain in the ***. I've never had a tire that needed so much maintenance. I'm not alone and it seems a lot of the Jeep JK community sees the same results, so instead of trying another set, I went with the BFG All-terrain KO2s, which are supposed to have a long service life and have nearly impenetrable sidewalls. Overall I'm really impressed with how easy they were to get in balance and now I can go highway speeds without even the slightest shake. It's like driving on a street tire with all the traction I need for dirt roads up North of me.

Reunited with my Jeep this morning. Dead as a door nail though. Not entirely unexpected since it's been sitting for 7 months. Letting the battery charger work it's magic.

Did you update your speedometer gear or are you using a GPS instead of the odometer?
No, I'm using the stock speedo gear and since the tires are approximately 18% larger than stock I count that in on top of the reading on the dash, according to my math I'm getting 18 or so mpg, I was surprised too but I drive very conservatively and do a lot of highway driving. So unless my math is way off I should be correct, also my old tires were worn funny and out of balance.

With the larger tires having an effect like a higher gear ratio, I could see a positive gain if he does a lot of highway driving in relatively flat areas. As long as he isn't fighting the weight with stop and go driving.
Am I incorrect?
