Why is it when folks are talking money and they describe a typical cash transaction they say dollars , But when they are describing a deal or savings they say " BUCKS"...example you said they wanted $40 dollars for a stud , but you did it yourself not for $9 dollars , But rather $9 "bucks"....lol
I know I used two forms of talking about money, but that is what happens when you are using a phone and have been sleep deprived for over a month due to a new baby.
On to what I did today. I started making my smoker to help me find my allusive vacuum leak.

Just drive to the nearest high school and tell a kid you'll pay them ten dollars to vape into your vacuum line. You'll find that leak in no time.
First post on the forums. Here's my '94 stock xj. Dad bought it new back in 94, drove it 10 years and gave it to my cousins whose truck was stolen back in 04. Neglected since then, now its mine. Can't complain as a first car.
Today, finished up painting and detailing the passenger side. All Rattlecan with standard rustoleum cans. Not too bad from a spray can, fully DIY.
Attached a shot when i first brought it home as well. Now to get it out on some photo adventures.
Yesterday I dropped my old sagging headliner out of my XJ and spent the afternoon cleaning all of the old glue and foam off of the fiberglass board. Last evening I recovered it with some plaid fleece that I got from the fabric store for 1/4 of the price of actual headliner material. (They were out of grey anyways). Today I'm reinstalling the refurbished headliner after letting the glue cure all night.

I recommend having a helper when you re-install the headliner, I did it solo and it was a bit of a pain. Next, when you get the headliner fitted back into your vehicle, start fastening it to the roof at the front and work your way back. I did it the opposite way the first time and then had to take it all back down and start over so that my visors would re-install in the proper holes. Overall its really not a difficult project. Re-skinning my visors is my next project. I will post pics of what I've completed so far. Also, check out BleepinJeep on YouTube. Matt has a video on headliner replacement for XJ's.

That looks great, did you use any kind of clear coat? What kind?

Search "Jeep Cherokee headliner replacement" and you will get some great info. My advice would be to take your time working on the project.
When you remove the headliner, know that there are metal clips molded into the trim over the rear lift gate, over the front doors and down the "A" pillars. Use a door trim tool or similar pry tool to help pry those clips out of the jeep's frame without pulling them from the plastic trim.
Once the headliner is out and the old fabric pulled off, you will have the old glue and some foam backing remaining on the fiberglass board. Use a stiff bristle brush to remove this. It will be stubborn in places, so take your time. The cleaner the fiberglass board, the better your adhesion will be for the new fabric.
You will need about 3 yards of fabric and 2 cans of spray adhesive. I believe you will need a T50 torx bit to remove the bolts holding the rear seat belt bracket.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
