Bingo. Just like cars, there's only a couple corporations. Everything else is made by one of those.

Goodyear and Cooper are the only US companies. It gets complicated for a couple reasons. First, because they own so many subsidiary companies. Secondly, not all of their tires are made domestically. Finally, many foreign tire companies do manufacture some of their products in the US.
For what it's worth, I'll be trying Cooper S/T Maxx next. If I were buying a MT tire, it'd be the Cooper STT Pro. They're the best value tires I've found for my application. Many positive reviews and $1,000 cheaper for a set than some of the alternatives.

I did many hours/days/several weeks of research. The S/T Maxx should be perfect for my particular needs, and I can get a set of (5) 37x12.5x17 tires for just under $1500 from Merchants. Most of the other tires I considered are $2200+ for a set. Doesn't mean it's the right answer for everyone, though
These were supposed to be Walmart only Goodyear's but the Goodyear by me had them available. Wally World wanted 140+ mount and balance, warranty extra. Goodyear gave me 110, mounted, balanced, lifetime rotation and balance and warranty with my Military ID. Couldn't pass that up. I needed a more streetable tire than a full on MT but wasnt going to pay 220+ a tire.

Did a connection refresh on my MJ. Adjusted the TPS, and only thing I found off was the coil resistance readings. Best part, it's lifetime warranty item because it's a ICM and coil combo.

Watched the rear axle leak, gonna take the cover off tomorrow to fix it. Also have been researching a lot about swapping a 5.3 Vortec in my XJ, going to start acquiring parts and hopefully start in the summer months. Just have to find a decently priced 5.3 and hopefully find a 4L65E, if not I'll go with a 4L60E.

If it weren't for Hardrock and the other spot I like to go to in North Ocala, 31s would probably be fine for me. Although being restricted to the "stock" trail at Jeeptoberfest kinda sucks too.

Bummer. I hate Cooper. Had a set of their tires that almost killed my wife. Hard as rock. If you spit on them they would slide.

These shocks lasted about 16 months, when they started making horrible metal on metal grinding and popping noises. They rode badly too, had the back bouncing too much.
I used a one of those powerful magnet extensions I had in my tool box to fish the new bolts through the bracket holes. Needed a little wire hook to hook the tip of the bolt down through the hole. Worked well and was quick to do. Much faster than I expected.
The new rear shocks ride real nice. Glad I got it done.

New front pinion yoke, with the u-bolt upgrade, new downstream 02 sensor, new water outlet, and new cap for the overflow bottle. In the wind. And the rain. Guess I really wanna go to Charlie's House next Saturday, LMAO. Also went to HF and got a D-ring receiver hitch for 9 bucks, a locking hitch pin for 10, a ****** (LOL) block for 25, and some chain hooks for a couple, now I'm out to the shed to go find my straps and chain, get my spare parts box, extra fluids, the first aid kit, and anything else needed for the Death Valley trip. Gonna be SA-WEET
