dead coil

i had damaged the #7 coil droping the engine in and the replacement one i bought was bad, replaced it with the origional and it was fine.

i think the shifting issue it the TPS'S fault

Swapped diff fluid for the winter. Need to get some dex for the transfer case and maybe rebuild the front driveshaft.

 

Forgot, but I fixed my high RPM screeching a couple days ago

Yup definitely bad:

 

Drove it to the new office. It's 18 miles past my old office

 

Finally got our first snow, so I took it out for a joy ride!

 

They were raked from the factory, but the front wheel well is taller than the rear.

 

plumbed and wired the 97 washer bottle, bolted down the battery tray, cleaned the crud off the battery, wired the high fan control, found my missing screw for the TPS and got it screwed in, lots of other little stuff

also the transfer case adaptder is leaking significantly

 

Made a NAXJA account. Proceeded to search and search but not find a thread similar to this one.

 

Okay okay, I yield. Guess I remembered wrong. Not like there are any new XJs left...

Almost ran over a prius this morning.

They decided that the two car-lengths I had between my lifted 4x4 with steel bumpers and no ABS was entirely too much space for the conditions: rush hour, raining, and attempting to exit.

So they swooped in and immediately slammed on their brakes, about 3 feet from my bumper. I probably came within 4 inches of destroying their car.

I ordered a dashcam.

 

Thank you for reminding me that I need a dashcam now as well
