Discovered that power locks are no longer working, suspect all of the recent rain got into something.

Well I technically didnt do anything to the Cherokee tonight but I did find out it is turning into a real Jeep. That means after 6 weeks of owning it and putting less then 100 miles on it, I need a new radiator. Yep its leaking. There were a few drips this morning and a puddle when I got home (did nothing but sit in the garage today). I was hoping it was just the hose but its not. Its coming out of where the aluminum crimps to the plastic. Let the never ending repairs begin!

Sweet waggy, man! I like what you did with the diamond plate there in place of the woodgrain!

Passenger front brake caliper seized up last night just before I got home. The new centric rotors survived but the ceramic pads cracked. Trip to AZ, 2 new calipers and all new pads(semi metallic this time), some help from the pregnant wife with the brake pedal and back up and running. Only went to bed an hour late. Bought a water pump & thermostat to do this weekend since it's leaking every now and then and slightly noisy.

The wood grain went south from the desert sun .
so instead of paying $500.00 for the wood grain kit I spent $150.00 for the diamond plate and cut it to fit and used rivnuts in the stock holes where the original molding was and sealed it with silicone to keep water and dirt from getting behind it.
IT LOOKS GREAT!
I did it all the way around both sides and the rear hatch.
so now when I am in the desert and I happen to run thru the bushes it is easier to polish it out than scratching the fake *** wood grain contact paper.
Plus it makes the doors and body more protected from dings and dents .
I'd rather replace the diamond plate then a fender or door.

Right on. Pretty good thinking.

Uhh well I haven't driven mine in a week or so which means I haven't done anything BUT I did walk past her and see a piece of the rocker finally fall off meaning IT'S TIMEEEEE (bruce buffer MMA intro voice) to get the 2x6 (or 2x8 for future exo tie-in) rockers done and possibly boatsides! It's long overdue since bad spotting destroyed my passenger rocker... Remember, just because you're a good spotter for your buddies, does not mean they will return the favor lol

took her out and drove her. steering is worse since I put the zj steering on, I need to straighten the steering wheel and do the toe in and out stuff too. trans is starting to stick now, it seems like 1st and 2nd and possibly even 3rd sometimes. was doing like 40 and the tach was showing 2 grand.

Love the 2x6 mod. Makes my jeep ride smoother and gives me a nice side step with my rub rails
