I finally put the tax return to some good use and ordered a set of napier v2 flares. One step closer to putting it back on the road. It's been in my garage since October.

Got my Hooligans flares removed from my XJ. Some of the stainless bolts seized during mock up. Had to drill some out. Some I cut with my angle grinder and a Lenox diamond cut off wheel. Cleaned and ruffed up the metal, ready to paint in my shed.
also, need to figure out shed wiring (new to me home). Lights don't work. Need to find incoming feed to check for power. Go from there.

Okay so I need to take care of this now or I'm not going to have a transfer case. Both output shaft bearings and seals are bad and I need to replace them. Front is easy but I have an sye and I don't know what brand I have, any ideas?
Also the "foot" that comes off the transfer case, is that supposed to be tight against the body? Mine seems to be off the body a bit.

I drove it 35 miles with a rhythmic belt squeak.
Replacing the power steering pulley tomorrow - and if that doesn't fix it, I am checking into the insane asylum tomorrow night

Replaced my 6 month old water pump with a GMB high flow version. Also dropped the tranny pan and screen and replaced the fluid. Oh, and I replaced the OEM electric fan with a Murray version from Oreilly's. The GPT (General Purpose Tank) has never run or shifted smoother. I should have done this last year!
