it my own fault for not setting it up properly in the first place. the down tube is at least finished so assuming things dont go horribly wrong it should bolt right in

If you are talking about the tweeters I want to say it improves the sound a little. Not an audiophile and my hearing is so so. Could just be the placebo effect but I am not sorry I bought them. Bought them about a year ago. $40 shipped from St. Louis, I think, off Craigslist. Kinda sad it took me all this time to get them in.

If you are talking about the sound deadening I have not taken it for a ride yet. Plus like I said only did the front doors. Can say this. After I finished the drivers door I started rapping on it. Get a dull thud. Then hit the same area on the unfinished passenger door. Get a tinny sound. Definitely dampens the resonance of the metal. Think that is the proper term. Figured I would do a write up. Not like I have clue about any of this.

It's been a while.
Recently wrapped LEDs around my cb antenna and picked up some soft 8s.

I hope you kept those turbines...IMO they look sweet. The soft 8's are nice too, but you just don't see rigs with turbines very often. Well, at least where I live...

The LED's on the whip, I'm 50/50 on. Totally cool out here in the desert, wheeling in the middle of nowhere, after dark or dawn/dusk...otherwise I'd never use them, lol

Of course I kept them haha really not sure if i want to sell them. With the spacers still on and the 3.75bs they stick out a lot haha. I picked them up for several reasons, most of which being I've seen too many aluminum wheels get chunks taken out of them at Rausch off a rock and didn't want to have that happen to my turbines. The LEDs are mostly for show during night events around here. But the antenna still works with no issues, just can't have the lights on.

I was more referring to how your 6.5's sound now with the dynamat on the door and the closed-cell foam. I'd imagine/hope the difference is noticeable.

That's good to know. Seems like the desert is definitely the place for the LED stuff. the 52" light bars, LED whips, all that stuff... seems like the desert is the best place. I don't have any problem with the LED whips, mind you, but those full-width light bars are way too much light for the trail... especially if you're behind someone. The 4 pods I have on top of my roof are bright enough!

LED bars and whips serve a purpose...when using them correctly.

What I hate is guys in brodozers towing their **** out there who find it necessary to light up on the highway.

Save that **** for the trail, doof.
