Don't forget bullet proof ratings!

*only thing I still like about the riddler covers is they protect the bolt heads.

Edit: now you guys have me looking these up...again...lol Another benefit vs the steel covers is corrosion resistance...but that's more of an appearance thing.

Not much cause of the rain. Took the slider off the passenger seat. Going to try to get some POR 15'ing done tomorrow. Supposed to be a better day. Did the break in for the new compressor. Now I need an impact gun. My landlord has an old ford 450 out back. Think that is what it is. My buddy and are going to dismantle a couple things on the truck when I do get the impact. Try to get an idea of what we can and can't do with the compressor and whatever gun I end up with.

How quickly do you think rust will eat through the 3/8" thick steel plate that Ruffstuff uses for their diff covers?

Measured for axle shims. Ordered them, they'll be ready for pick up Thursday.

Replaced the heim joint on the pitman arm for my cavfab steering. Barely one trip and maybe 2 weeks driving on it What did you do to your Cherokee today?-photo8.jpgWhat did you do to your Cherokee today?-photo34.jpgWhat did you do to your Cherokee today?-photo994.jpgWhat did you do to your Cherokee today?-photo148.jpg
I guess since the heim and misalignment bushings wore out the draglink fell and was sitting on the tie rod.

Everything was fine and dandy till I "upgraded" now it sees more garage time than anything else.

Yeah, been there on way too many of my projects, frustrating as all hell. ESPECIALLY when it's something you actually drive on the street.

Years ago my DD was a '69 Fairlane that I shoehorned a built to the hilt 351C into. It was fast as ****, but I swear I spent more time fixing it than driving it. After two years, a rear-end and two transmissions, I finally got fed up and sold it.

With the old 302 it originally had, it was one of the most reliable cars I'd ever had. LOL.

I've had their kit since October, never an issue. Buddy and I put the cavfab steering on his TJ back in March, his Jeep is pushing 38s with 4.88s and ox lockers and we ran blacks (sadly no reds, blame the trail leader) all day no issues at RC, even scrapped the tie rod against a few rocks.

Well I don't know what the deal is then, but it was professionally aligned by a 4x4 shop and I drove it a little before I took it wheeling, took a trip to uwharrie, by lunch time on the first day the joint was shot and the draglink was sitting on the tie rod. Didn't hit anything with it and only did one hard trail

All i've done with mine besides road driving is some nasty mud with a local club. I just hose the jeep off and spray some lube into the heims.

Since my ignition switch broke I wired in a push button. Still trying to figure out how to make the green led come on when I turn the key on.

Make sure the switch is grounded correctly, then hook the wire for the light in the switch to a 12v switch power like for the radio or the cigarette lighter or something like that.

I did road driving, then offroad, but not even really much mud (a Honda Civic could probably make it through except for the odd rock or two in the mud) mostly rock and dust. I don't know what the deal is. I guess I somehow just destroy stuff really quick while not even beating on my jeep. All I want at this point is to get my jeep to where I can drive it semi-reliably...
