When I ordered mine it was 2 months before I received it. Emails and calls were made with no reply. Then it finally arrived minus the grade 8 hardware and the mounting brackets. Another week for the brackets. Year and a half later still no hardware. Trip to Lowes covered that. Like the bumper, but no more parts from them.

Pictures of what has been going on for the past few days. That is a harness and computer out of a Federal Emissions '00 from one boneyard. Glass is from a second. Going to let my glass guy deal with the hatch glass. Tools and parts have been coming in left and right. I paid $150 for that Milwaukee. Don't have any idea why I bought it. Seemed like a good deal though. Looks like it was barely used if ever.

I swear my XJ is out to get me! The stereo has been saying "check wiring" and not working. So I decided to finally check the wiring. Pulled the head unit out, looked at all the wiring and it was perfect. So I plug it back in and it works fine. Whatever, moved on to the next issue which was the speaker in the passengers door. It hasnt worked since day one and the window would bottom out on its magnet. Pulled it out, grabbed another speaker and worked fine. Just for giggles, I plug the old one back in and guess what? It works! The new speaker was shorter so I put it back in so that the window would clear it. At this point, everything works how it should so I slap it all back together. 1 hour later, I hop in the Jeep to go to my parents house. Now the driver side speaker doesnt work. WTF Jeep!
On another note, when I got to work this morning, one of the employees comes running up to me as soon as I park the Jeep. He was like "dude your Jeep sounds like its about to fall apart. Did you know that it was making a loud clicking sound when you were pulling in to your parking spot?" I was like ya thats just my locker, nothing to worry about. The look on his face was priceless! The amount of confusion going through his head must have been mind boggling.

That's pretty good! I bought mine new on a super sale for $300 but it came with 2 batteries and a case too. Haven't needed the 2nd battery yet though.

Ya you have a lot of other bigger projects to deal with first haha. A speaker should be the least of your concerns. I honestly dont really even listen to the radio anyways. Its just there to help muffle the typical Jeep noises. I have a whole system ready to go in but just thinking of how many wires I have to run to the amps makes me not want to do it (mostly pulling the interior apart to run the wires under everything). And then making the double din fit... ya thats a whole different story. It can wait.

Mini Christmas at the Curry household. Got my jhc7399 headlight harness and MOOG sway bar bushings in the mail today. Started installing the head light harness until it got too dark to see in garage.

We had a customer who had us install cheap off-road led bars on there shops ceiling (standard 8ft ceiling) above their work tables. It had inspired me to do the same at my casa. Just need 12VDC power supply.

I don't believe so, at least fabing wise. I had his phone number on an older phone and his google website is still up with an email. It's just a one man operation, i'm sure if he wanted he could pick it back up, and if he's still fabing i'm sure he has the metal around. I have nothing but great things to say about him and the bumper.

So I've been looking at replacing them with four 4ft lights instead. Turns out the 4ft LED shop lights cost about as much as the flourescents once you buy the enclosures and the bulbs. I put one above my workbench in the garage and I've been really pleased with it.

My workshop (came with the house) has two 8ft fluorescents hanging from the ceiling. I'm actually amazed I haven't busted the bulbs yet, because I don't have a vehicle that I can fit replacement bulbs in.

Brought home more stuff. Qt of POR 15, gallon of Metal Prep, CRC Electronic Cleaner, some cutting oil, some of those GOJO Wipes (those are pretty good), 4 plastic spray bottles, and the right fitting for my air tools. Like an idiot bought females. The only reason I do not feel like a total idiot is because I did need one for the Fluid Film gun. Now to just get it in gear.
