Started LA Kit
Put on the cross-member for my RE LA kit. Drilling upside down is a PITA. As is getting the studs out of the factory cross member. Either way I FINALLY GOT TO START MY LIFT!!!!!!

not today but a couple of days ago
replaced:
Ignition cylinder
Ignition switch
Positive battery cable
No crank was fixed because of the "sweet" spot the key needed to be in in order to crank it...this switch replacement also fixed ALL of the gauge issues not working, the electric fan AND I have low windshiled washer fluid because the lights on now

pressure tested the cooling system no leaks except for small crack in thermostat housing near ECT...pressure tested radiator cap and found it is shot...seafoamed the engine, replaced the spark plugs with factory Champions, and changed the oil and omg it runs a lot smoother and idles better and has more get up and go on the highway...
also made the decision that since i am going to save the money and buy a rust free one next year and this one prolly won't last the winter i am going to buy a beater 4cyl. and part the jeep out and junk the rest of it and my gas money savings and parts sales money will be a bonus towards new jeep fundage...fyi my current jeep has lots of rust (hole in frame, rocker panels, and rear quarter panels, and rear trunk floor...)

Well the "Purp" is still spewing condensation and filled the little filter and the little overflow container...so......I've resorted to the "Skippy" mod.
Valve cover is sealed with the help from RTV.
Should give me at least a week between empties now.
Mostly clear water with some oily cheese. Coolant level is constant and oil looks clean and level. Power is great........but I can smell the crankcase vapours if I open the window.

Hi jonb8. I have a jeep that had been stocked 2 years ago. And now I change some part of it so that it will looks new. And believe it or not, the people asking me, "is it new?", and I will just answer them "no".

Put in a valve cover gasket ... notice I didn't say replaced one. The PO decided it would be a good idea to just use RTV sealant and no gasket ... the tard. Then while taking my valve cover off I snapped the vacuum hose off from the map sensor, um, yeah, that sucks. Back to the dealership I guess!
