What did you do to your Cherokee today?
No, I don't lick fish.
With the seat up? How?
Same here. More weight up top just means higher rollover risk. I might do a roof basket eventually, but just for lighter weight stuff.... not heavy *** spare tires.
Thanks! I'll check it out
lol... I said I'm workin' on it!
Abandoning the Gamblers?

Edit - you have 35s and I have 31s. That would free up 4" of window if I could move the mount down. Not bad.

Can you post a picture of the view out the back? I honestly love the rear mounted tire look and would love to get one. But the one xj I drove with a center mounted tire really sucked. Couldnt see anything. Dont know if being offset would help enough or not.

lol... didn't say it was overpriced, just said it was expensive. I'm the sole provider of a household of 5, man. The newest vehicle in my driveway is 17 years old... I don't have a lot of money for "upgrades". That's why the majority of my build is homebrew stuff, things that I've gotten a helluva deal on, and things that I got really lucky with and were given to me by a generous member of the Jeep community.

For anyone not following, I thought he was simply doing 35-31=4" difference. But of course you have to divide that by two because the 4" difference will be split equally on each side of the hub where the wheel mounts. 2" to the left and 2" to the right.
But if he also moves the mount 2" lower, it would give him a total of 3.696" of extra usable window space

Same boat brother. My newest vehicle is a 93 XJ and my MJ is 1986. Sole provider of 4 and when I have to take time off of work for the Military, that's the cash I use to buy my parts with.
