Are both passenger and driver power? Because I only have a driver side power seat and would need the non power seat plastic for the passenger side. Thinking shipping to CT might not be too bad. Also sure it is a '01? Has to be '99 and up because technically '97 and '98 are Mist Gray. If it is manual on the passenger side any chance you could work up a price for me? Hate to waste your time but also thinking it might not be a bad idea to have the parts lying around just in case I don't like how it looks. Never been good at visualizing things.

So I am in the process of prepping the drive's side power seat base, tranny crossmember, and a small section of the uni-body where the TC skid will go for POR 15. I just rinsed off the cleaner/degreaser, blew it off with my blow gun a couple times and let it dry for metal prep. Figured while I was standing around would start messing with the map pocket off the Limited driver's door panel. I already Dremeled it off. The carpet came off the plastic so I cleaned up both pieces. They use an adhesive there that would be the kind that would come out of a caulking gun. I have a surplus of 3M 1/4" double sided tape so I am going to use that to put in back on. Figure give it a wipe with some of that 3M adhesive promoter. I would have used the Limited door panel as a whole but while I am OK with the wood grain plastic I do not like that the other part is Camel and not Agate like my door panels. At some point I might get ambitious and recover them.

Well that killed about 15 minutes. Don't want to attach it just yet. Thinking I might pull the door panel to make sure I get it where I want it. Maybe I will start Dremeling off the other one.

'99+ are easy to identify.

'97 was the redesign
'99 switched to the shorter roof rack
'00/01 have a 4.0Litre badge on the tailgate instead of the 4.0L sticker

Waiting for POR 15 to dry again. Power seat base and tranny crossmember done. If I had a dollar every time I typed that it would probably pay for my POR 15.

Finished prepping for the overhaul of the cooling system. The results definitely weren't as nasty as many that I've seen so, that's a plus. In hindsight I probably could have gotten away with a light-duty flush product rather than the oxalic acid and washing soda combo, but, that's OK.

This is an image of the washing soda & distilled water flush mixed with the initial drain of coolant mix. As you can see, it's kind of a grayish color. Not bad!

And, the wife and I had a blast driving nothing but farm roads and back roads yesterday and hitting small towns along the way. Turned a few heads and that's always a compliment. Almost forgot how nice it rides and handles too. For an XJ. Haha!

*The chunks floating in the mix are just pieces of a stick I stirred it up with prior to taking the pic.
