Yes, it is the original to the vehicle headliner. I removed the old covering and glue. It was easy. The hard part was removing the dried glue from the console and sound bar plastic shells. I have all the liner materials to do the covering myself and will begin when I fix the rust near the liftgate.
My XJ looked much like that recently. I removed all the interior, seats, carpet, interior plastic panels. The only parts I left in were the instrument and door panels. I have since replaced the carpet after pressure washing them. I also replaced with OEM new plastic panels in the cargo area. A few things I'm looking at doing is installing a factory cargo cover and the mounting brackets. My XJ did not have it but I do have a complete set up to install it. I also have a bumper mounted OEM spare tire carrier with all the mounting hardware I am considering installing. I'll make a decision on those things after I get the rust repaired and the headliner back in. My XJ is a bone stock 96 Country. Only mod is tires, 235's instead of stock 225's.

Trying to chase down a P1698, P1687 and P1686 in a M/Y 2000 GC. Any experienced debuggers out there willing to share their findings? PM to me please...

In the process of removing a section of sidewalk for a gas meter installation, been loading the pieces into the back of the Cherokee to take it to the landfill. The bastard packs I built last year are the bomb!
No, I don't lick fish.

So I got the passenger side cargo bay privacy glass window in. Used the rope trick. Somebody recommended 3/16" rope so that is what I used. Extra set of hands probably would have helped but managed to get it done. When I took the glass from the boneyard Jeep I used screwdrivers to fold over the rubber from the inside to be able to push it out. Made me nervous. I invested in the door molding removal kit to use instead of screwdrivers for getting mine out. Plus the rope trick was not as easy as it looked, at least for me anyway, so I helped it a little with the kit. All in all glad I did this instead of getting those crappy tints removed and replaced. On to the driver's side.
That kit, even if all I ever use it for was to do these windows, was worth every penny of the $15 it cost me. Driver's side is now done. What to do next?

i think i need a new expansion valve/ evaporator and maybe another drier since the system was open a lot

Sucks. I'm wondering if I should ever hook mine back up, haven't had it in a couple of years, and this summer has been brutal. Heatwave starting again this week, as of today...looking to be 109* for several days, with+100* temps forecast for at least the next 7 days...

Got the Dynamat on the roof. Thinking about calling it a day. All that rolling out the Dynamat beat me up pretty good. Worst part is there really is not that much up there. But then again my shoulders are not in the best of shape.

Clear coat sucks sweaty man *****.
That said, I don't care when it gets scratched, but, I've been tossing around several ideas for aesthetics.
Not looking for a stellar paint job, it gets used...so I've toyed with ideas of satins, flats, liners...I am heavily leaning towards liner, so it can take the hits, without too much carnage...thinking a base layer of a sand type color, to keep it neutral. Then I can do a spray over that, in a camo pattern of some such...I dunno. There's also some work I wanna do before all that anyways, so it's a pipe dream at the moment...
But I really hate the peeling clear coat. Might just sand all that down and primer it black...
