IMO, it's totally what makes the truck...I would keep it just like that, maybe lightly sand the rough spots, and do a satin clear to keep it just like that. Refresh all the mechanicals and get it in top running condish, and keep those tires, that stance makes it look badass.

No, I don't lick fish.
Thanks for that. I should probably replace my battery cables at some point. Figure might as well upgrade. Also looked into the bigger alt upgrade. Not like I need it but since I am there... Also figure do the headlight harness and call it a day. This is all next year stuff. Thing is I want the alt to just bolt in. I know grinding down stuff for the GC or Durango one is no big deal but... So I checked with a guy I know who rebuilds alts among other things. He feels he can get up to about 150 amps out of a stock XJ alt with the proper parts. That would make it a straight bolt in for me which is what I want. Now I know that technically those alts that you posted don't fit an '00. Thinking maybe a connector. But regardless why do guys go through the trouble, for 136 amp GC one, when they can just buy the Autozone one you posted?
That's better than Roni's tent pitch.
Sweet!
