What did you do to your Cherokee today?

I did not realize you had it done professionally. I just assumed you did the used motor oil/diesel fuel thing. I just put sound deadening material in all my doors, hatch, and rear quarters. Since I had everything apart to do that I Fluid Filmed in all those places before I put it back together. I might have to drill some holes in the appropriate places so I can Fluid Film in those places yearly. Thanks for the idea.

Fire extinguisher with a 4' tube? I can't even picture how that works. LOL. $115 to $3K? Also what grade Browning? What does that mean. It costs me $15 to Fluid Film each time. And I go to town. Fluid Film is not one of those less is more deals.
No, I don't lick fish.
Right, I have it done at Carrara's Hot Oil Rustproofing in VT. 10 miles of dirt road back to pavement. They drill holes in rockers, and hatch, doors, and inside 1/4 panels (wherever black plugs show up in photos). They also spray inside frame rails. Jeep smokes for a hundred miles or so but the exhaust last longer. I take the xj over once a year and have found no rust on him yet. My 1947 Dodge pickup was oiled since new. I sold it in 1992 with no rust. Not bad for northern NY.

I took an old brass fire extinguisher, added a shreader valve, unscrew the top and fill with used motor oil, pressurize the tank and spray away. takes Carrara's about half an hour to spray everything (an hour the first time), The waiting room is in their gun shop. They have all grades of guns. A top of the line browning shotgun can run way up there. An old Winchester 21 could be $10,000. The undercoating it self is $110 for a two door and $115 for a four door. Keeping rust out of the jeep and the mess out of my yard is worth it to me.

We have the heats!
New core is in and working great. No leaks, no electrical gremlins, etc. Reading all of the horror stories, I was prepared for the worst. It went very smoothly without any notable issues. I picked away at it in my spare time over the course of 3 days and I'd guess I have 6 hours or so in it. I still need to put the center console and pass seat back in, so there's another 30 minutes or so there.
I think I got lucky. Hopefully it stays that way.
Front Pads
Front pads, because they needed it. LF was worn uneven. More wear to the rear of the pad, almost to metal.
Confirmed threads are stripped in steering knuckle as the likely cause. This caused movement of the caliper resulting in the uneven wear.
Is there a oversized caliper bolt available for this or do I have to Heli-coil until I get a Knuckle?

Helicoil and be done. I was hesitant about them until I did my research, but they're plenty strong

So I have not bought any tools lately that I probably don't need. Until today. $80. Looks like it never has been used. No charger but I have one for the impact gun I bought awhile back and it charges both M12 and M18 batteries. So I could not resist. I need help. I really do. LOL.

Bought some front bumpstops, maybe this weekend I'll go back and put them in. Hopefully they'll work out and the Cherokee will be good for the next wheeling trip!

I am an idiot. I did not realize you were talking guns and rust protection at the same time. Should have caught when you said Browning.
