Found the "clunk" coming from the front end of my "pavement princess". Went to Napa today and picked up a set of sway bar bushings and end link rebuild bushing kit. I'll get them installed this weekend. Also fixed the flopping driver's door panel with new plastic push pins. Small victories....

Switched to a black grill. I had been thinking about painting my grill all black for a while. The black portion was peeling badly showing white underneath. Anyhoo, I saw that a black Sherman grill was $12 at Rock Auto so I figured I'd try it out. I think I like it.

Ugh, at some point in the torrential downpour last night she sprung a leak. Got in this morning to leave for work only to discover standing water on the passenger floor.
Pulled the carpet and hung it to dry... and found a rust hole. Small, bout the size of a dime, but still. So I cleaned and treated the metal, then sealed it with dynamat top and bottom. One of these upcoming weekends I'll cut out any contaminated metal and weld in some fresh steel.

Well never could get it started this morning. Had to catch a ride home with a buddy. Gotta concentrate on getting the wife's car fixed now, then I'll go fix the Jeep.
Went to the junkyard and got the part I needed for that today. While I was there I she'd them about their fuel tanks. Turns out my hunch was right... Since they pull the tanks before their vehicles hit the yard, they don't punch holes in em.
Got the part for the car, a tank for the Jeep, and a steel fuel tank skid for 58 bucks.

Took her out today for the first time in a long time. Most of the summer I've been using my truck for trips, taking my atv and camper and stuff. Went to Hyde Memorial state park. Lived in the area my whole life and had never been there. Really nice. Got up to 10,000 feet. The buildings, or white dots really, is the north part of santa fe.
