I did thorough comparative research before deciding Line-X was worth the cost in the bed of my Comanche. It's a very unique system that nobody else has. Patented material and a very specific set of criteria for application.
And for your reference, the tape is simply called wire tape. You have the purpose correct, and you can buy that yourself.

When I did my disc brake conversion, I left the proportioning valve from factory alone. No issues at all with it so far.

So I am guessing this is the place.

Having trouble trying to find bedliner in their site. Do you know what the part # or what the gallons you have are called?

hope this helps haha... now you know it does work, with some extra effort on the installers part haha
No, I don't lick fish.
hey man. Today someone actually came in with bedlined wheels and wanted tires mounted. Hesaid it was rhinoliner and he had the whole wheel coated. The tires wouldn't seal along the bead. 1 did. The other 3 took heavy coats of bead sealer but they eventually did seal up. I can't see why you would bedliner the entire wheel though. The color he chose looked good though.

yessir haha.. The tan color... desert sand maybe? But yeah the thickness and texture of the bedliner screwed with the bead of the tire big time. Almost like having a bunch of sand in between the tire and wheel. But a bunch of sealant eventually got the air to hold.
I just had remembered that Ralph had asked about this because he wanted to line x his wheels so I thought I'd let him know haha. I'm not sure if line x is as rough texture wise as rhinoliner though. Maybe it would work better. I just don't see paying extra for the inside of the wheel though.

No offense taken about bedlining the whole wheel. Just figured cost wise it might not be that bad because now you don't have to tape anything off. Just spray and go. One thing I noticed when it comes to getting stuff besides bedliners done at Line-X. The more you do the cheaper the price gets. In a way. They wanted $75 for the molding. When asked about the running board plastic they said $100. But would do all of it for $150. Threw in the rear mud flaps (had them completely covered), which brought the price up to $200. When I asked about doing the 4 roof skid strips they tacked on another $10 to price. Also thinking since there would be an even coat that you might have a better chance of getting the bead to seal. No gaps or lips. Plus doing the inside would just make cleaning a breeze. It was just some dumb idea I had. I have them all the time. LOL. Plus I have the worst rattle can skills. So while I could have probably painted my door molding with the Krylon Fusion for a third of the price I would have done a crappy job. Trust me on that.

I hear you Ralph, but I have to say that I just used Fusion on my bumper caps and it was the easiest coverage of any product to ever come out of a rattle can. It's idiot proof, but maybe not Ralph proof?

Got caught up enough to fire my Jeep for the first time since the roll over to make sure the new engine was still sound and refill the coolant system with antifreeze before storing until I figure out what I am going to do with this thing. Something I want to share with those who don't know.
If you ever park one of these upside down you want to pull all the plugs, Jack up the driver's side as high as you can get it, and turn it over for awhile. The intake fills up with oil while it's upside down and it will suck that oil in and hydrolock knocking the head loose if you don't.

Good to know that it is possible. Would like to know how this will work out in the long run though. IMO Line-X is pretty rough. But how it compares to Rhinoliner and the like I have no idea. Never seen either one of those products up close.

I guess it would be cheaper to have the whole wheel painted, just seems to be a waste haha. The guy cones in pretty frequently so I'll try and remember to ask him how they are holding up.
