Ya I know. Its been time. So that means its time to fire up Autocad and let the designing begin. Not going to buy an off the shelf kit.

What are you planning on doing?

I ask because I'm debating on fabricating some mounts so I can put an XJ header panel/grill on my ZJ (My header panel's horribly broken and needs to be replaced, and the XJ headers are far, far easier to find than the '93-94 ZJ's, at least here) and might be interested in retaining your services.

Nov 14:
-Installed a new coolant reservoir
-Replaced coolant
-Changed oil (10W30 Castrol High Mileage)
-replaced transmission fluid
-removed and cleaned center console trim

Im not going to do anything crazy. Just a nice, simple and smooth looking bumper. I draw the parts up with Autocad so I can have them laser cut. Saves some money that way. Pm me some details on what you are looking to get done.

Just a couple easy things today... installed new thermostat (and flushed the system then new coolant) and new oil filter adapter seal. I only picked up my XJ a few weeks ago, but I've worked on the I6's for years.

Want to design a rear bumper that works with cut and fold rear quarters? I’ve caught both my rear quarters a couple of time and I’m thinking about getting a new rear bumper with cut and fold protection. May end up just getting the area fab bumper made for the cut and fold if I can scrape up some money/sell my current bumper/ get time. Should’ve just gotten it when I bought a bumper the first time, but I didn’t really wheel it then and didn’t think I’d ever need to cut and fold.

Sure I can design you a rear one. You got a local laser cutter that can work with .dfx files? If they can bend, that would be a plus too. Less welding.

So while cruising Ebay I came across a 6 disc CD changer from a '98 Chrysler Minivan. If you guys remember I was having problems with my changer. I could not see the pin out but the wire and connector looked the same. The remote was completely different. Decided to take a chance. The changer was the correct one so I installed it. Seems to operate properly but we will see what happens in the long run.

In 1996 Jeep offered a similar unit for the XJ. It may have actually been the same. According to the brochure, the unit was mounted under the seat.

Mine came with my '00. Also has the CD Enclosure in the back. I believe them to be Dealer installed options and not factory. Shot of my remote and the CD Enclosure. Just took a bit of a trip to gas up. Amazing how a 25 minute drive around here can save you 30 cents a gallon. The changer seemed to be operating as it should. Fingers crossed. LOL.

Used my Jeep to bring toys to a toy drive. Been doing this for about 5 years now. Enlisted the help of my friends kid. Thinking he was about 7 when we started doing this. He is 12 now. Then I take him out to lunch. It is kind of a thing now. We have a budget and try to get as much bang for our buck as we can. Made out great this year. 6 of those dump trucks and 9 of the dog dolls. Figure just because I am going to be miserable on Christmas (LOL) why should some kid be.
