What did you do to your Cherokee today?
No, I don't lick fish.

Did a test-fit of my rear bumper....
Couldn't be more pleased.
It will stick out less that what you see here... just sitting over top of of factory bumper for visual right now.

Nice! Still debating if I want to build my own bumpers or buy them. Leaning towards build my own, but knowing me, they will likely look like they belong in a Mad Max movie. LOL.

Ended up running across a for sale post on fakebook from one of my buddies that was trying to get rid of this one real quick for 40 bucks so I jumped on it. 1/4" plate steel fully welded on the outside of the joints, and stich welded on the inside of the joints. KILLER bargain for 40 bucks.

Just a 14 year old Troybilt Bronco lol... but yeah they made 'em real aerodynamic for whatever reason. the shape of the nose does kinda help when mowing under overgrown trees, hedges, etc.
Honestly man, if you have a 240v welder, access to materials, and any kind of fab skills at all, just build one. I was either going to build my own or get one of the DIY bumpers from any number of the aftermarket suppliers on the 'net. DBO, Ares fab, JCR, all of 'em have really good designs available that you just have to bend and weld up. Might be a little more limited for the ZJ, but there's still DIY kits out there.

If I were starting a new project right now, I would probably do the reinforcement to the frame rails and rock sliders first. Then I'd lock the axles, then lift, tires, bumpers, and other armor. Completely bassackwards from the way mine's being built now lol... but mine's my DD and I have a limited budget and a crappy welder.

Reinforcements and rock sliders are a given, I can for sure do that myself. Might even do a cage myself. For the wheeling we have around here ground clearance is more important than lockers, so I will do the lift and tires first. And you know... a guy with a welder and an itchy finger can make a spool out of an open diff... time will tell.

Had an unfortunate issue with the Jeep.... was having a power steering pump replaced under warranty.... well, the one put in had not been rebuilt correctly (what a shock.. dirtbag companies).... well.... it had a catastrophic failure in the worst way.... and fluid at very high PSI went everywhere... then to add insult to injury on her.... after cleaning it up washing it down with water... they didn't make sure wires and components were dry before firing it up.
So now I have a replaced ECU because the original one was damaged in the "attack" and a fix in the harness just back from the TPS because when it heated up on their test drive, it fried the wiring in that section causing a fault. HOLY CRAP! I couldn't believe it. They did fix it all, but took like 3 days.

So the LED in my rear wiper rocker switch from my One Way light LED kit started flashing rapidly a few days ago. I just kind of ignored it. This morning I wake up to an email from One Way Light about them send upgraded free replacements for climate control and rocker switches. Guess they were having life span issues with the previous ones. What a fantastic company. Score!
