OK but I was thinking there might be a way to appeal to your other senses so that you can rock it with the rest of us.

Replaced my CPS today. Let her idle for a real long time in the driveway and she did not die. See what happens when I start driving her.

Got the front end on it and took it for a drive. The hoses are cool to the touch but the temp gauge says a little over 210, and the thermostat housing is warm. Any ideas?

Maybe the T-stat itself not opening correctly? Just a guess with it being cool on the one side.

Thermostat is a couple weeks old, and worked. I was thinking that too, but the heater core hoses were cool too and those wouldn't be cool if there was any coolant moving

Highly technical task ... I made a coffee cup holder.

Here it is unpainted so you can better see what it is. Basically 14g metal that I bent and cut to fit on to the right side of the console next to the brake handle. I later painted it black satin.

This is the back side. It's held firmly in place by Velcro and is removable. The cup holders (which are actually ash trays) are screwed in to a piece of 0.25" x 1.5" oak.

The guy I bought it from said that he had replaced it at some point in time while it sat. Before I bought it it sat for a while, then a year or so ago he attempted to put it back on the road and never did, then I got it and put it back on the road.
