Ralph, I have an original Mopar CD changer from my '00 that might interface with that. PM me if you're interested in it.

Thanks but I have one. My Jeep, which is not a fancy XJ just a Sport, came with one. The changer, the controller, FM Modulator, and the CD Enclosure in the back. I am trying to be able to play music off my 120GB Ipod through the stereo but still retain a stock looking system. Thinking this radio is one of the older ones and it will not interface. But I will find out soon enough. I will send a PM though. I like having spare parts.

Getting an iPod is what caused me to put the original CD/Cassette radio back in so I could use a tape adapter to play the iPod. Did that for 2 and a half years before getting an iPod compatible CD/MP3 stereo with a USB port on the front.

The stereo I had in before I put the original back in was a nice Kenwood CD/MP3 radio. The feature that sold me on it was the "music keg" option that installed a removable hard drive in a changer-like unit. Never bought that but wanted to. After I got the iPod, they came out with an iPod kit that plugged into the changer port, but it was god awful expensive, so I made due with the tape adapter. Years later I found a Kenwood iPod adapter on eBay for like $25, and installed the thing in my other car.

My goal here is retain a factory look. The CD Changer in the back is played over a lower FM radio station with an FM Modulator. But this is a powered unit that is spliced in between my antenna and a the antenna port on the radio , is factory, and plays remarkable well with no static. Very pleased with it. I am hoping the iSimple gizmo will work as well since it actually plugs into that port on the Ebay radio.

Did a compression test on the Comanche....
Cylinder-psi
1-30
2-30
3-30
4-0
5-30
6-10
And it runs still. Not sure if the compression gauge was completely off or if it's just trashed.

Discovered the water pump bolts are not a 13mm head but in fact 5/16-18 instead.

I wish I had a video of it running so I could see how it runs but it wouldn’t run with that low of compression . Would be dead in the water .

Warm or cold engine?
Throttle all the way open?

Cold, didn't open the trottle, but I figure there's enough air past the iac that it would be semi accurate.

yeah there’s no difference I’ve checked a few hundred times you’re good but it wouldn’t run if compression was that low so I’d try another gauge if you can get one . Harbor freight is cheap enough or another rental tool or phone a friend .

Throttle has to be wide open for a proper reading. Pedal to the metal and do it again. It will also change when warm.
