Been running some ideas through my head though. I've got two different CJ ('76+) transfer case skid plates. Initial measurements show they might be used on an XJ. Can't do any fitting to tell though.
Also when I can get to installing the gas tank skid I believe a box saw will work to cut that plastic wanna be skid.

Front axle seals SUCK. Almost done with replacing them. The Carrier is pretty tight going in and out so I threw it in the freezer to hopefully help with reinstallation. Once it's cooled off I'll try throwing it back in.

My Jeep has had trouble starting recently. I crawled under it today to inspect the starter and discovered it was completely falling apart! All the bolts holding it together vibrated loose.
O'Reilly's is going to honor the warranty, which is nice. Unfortunately the replacement starter won't be here until Tuesday.
This whole thing has got me thinking... I've had a lot of engine vibrations since I replaced my motor mounts. I'm sure that contributed to the starter vibrating apart. Is there anything I can do to prevent the new starter from doing the same thing? Does anyone have any ideas?
