Got approved and signed a lease this morning. Why is it Jeep related?
I'm leaving my third-floor apartment and moving into a 4-story townhouse with a 1.5 car garage! I see toolboxes in my future

Thanks, guys! I'm definitely excited
I'm not sure if I'll get to do that yet.
I'm renting, and there's an HOA. I drove through the neighborhood and saw a lot of Jeeps, beater trucks, and trailers, so I'm not worried about being able to work on my cars. But I'm not sure if they'll give me a hard time about noise from a compressor.
The other downside is I only saw one outlet in the garage on my initial walkthrough. But I've been doing all my work in a parking lot for six years with no access to power, so I'll be happy just to have a light and some shelter from the elements!

You know what the best thing about working in a garage is? You just shut the door and your annoying neighbors dont come over and bug you / ask you a 1000 questions while you are trying to get work done.
Memorize the rules, document anyone else's infractions for your records, and use the system against the busybodies—there's always one, even without an HOA (source: I've lived by too many). And kill the **** out of them with kindness it really twists the knife.
Sounds like you'll have neighbors in kin for the most part though.

I would never buy in an HOA, but I don't have a choice renting around here. I plan to purchase(!) a copy of their rules ASAP, and I'm gonna introduce myself to my neighbor right away to see if I can get a feel for their attitude. One advantage is that mine is an end unit, so I only have one family (and the owners) to worry about

So some of you might remember that I bought that Mopar radio with the CD 9 pin connector in the back with a iSimple gizmo to run an ipod. Tried it out today. Older Mopar radios will not interface with newer factory CD Changers even though the plugs are the same. This one would not. But that is not why I bought it. Bought it to keep me from trying to solder in a 3.5mm jack to play my ipod in a factory radio. Everything works as it should.
On a side note my passenger side rear door would not open. There was no resistance to speak of in the button. So you can take a rear door panel off without the door being opened. Just have to remove the bottom part of the rear seat. I have no idea what was wrong because just taking it apart and playing with the lock and door handle rods made it start working again.

Spent all morning and the better part of this afternoon under it cleaning off the Fluid Film I used before I put the Jeep up for the last northern winter I will ever experience this past winter. Lol! Now that the wife and I are back in the desert southwest I wanted that stuff off the undercarriage, suspension, etc.
I believe it was Ralph that I first heard about it from and I gotta tell ya, it works. If I lived and drove a vehicle anywhere they use salt on the roads, I would definitely use it.
After three high-pressure washing sessions, it was still on everything. I had to break out a rag and my Meguiars Super Degreaser and wipe everything down by hand.

Scored some junkyard parts and installed my 4wd shifter on the MJ.
