This week..... New cps, Tighten the track bar from a clunky clunky i was hearing. THEN while i was tinking around with one of our old cars tightening up the intake and exhaust bolts on it, Im like hey lets do mine and WOW! the front and middle intake bolts were finger tight at best took alot of turns to tighten so it sounds like ill have to go back and retorque all the bolts on the exhaust and intake side as i kinda rushed it. Then a vacuum test and got 14 "pounds?" idk but seemed low to me i figured itll want to hang around 18 to 21. OH and also on the subject of leds Anyone have any good headlights? Theres many good ones but heres my issue with alot is while the low beams on alot are spectacular the high beams just dont seem to light up anything like they dont throw out the light like theyre to low. The only good ones i see are truck lites and jw speakers that actually throw the light but i mean 200 dollars doesnt grow on trees lol. And yes im in very dark areas where i use the bright lights alot as things like to jump out at you at night or people love to leave stuff in the road for me to hit.

Eevee - you get what you pay for with lights. Me, I have Trucklites and love them. Well worth the money IMO. Honestly, the JW are supposed to be even better, so I am probably going to try them out. You can't put a price on being able to see clearly at night.
Edit - and the most important, bring lights without blinding oncoming traffic.

Pulled the head, exhaust manifold, and partway through pulling the radiator. Hopefully tomorrow morning I'll get the head to the shop bright and early and get them started on it. Then replace the other bits that I can while it's out

Getting ready to replace the busted header panel and Drivers side fender. Have to decide which headlights I'm going to use. The projector or go back to the leds. The projector ones have great down road on low beam, high beam they up the sky, plus need to decide if I want to hack up the new header panel.

messed up the headliner
well.
the fabric was falling off the headliner so i thought i would replace it, ended up with some fabric that was too short and i ran out of spray glue. turned out a bit of a disaster so i thought **** it, throw it out and buy some dynaliner, something like that instead.
at the moment its just steel !

So the Jeep is done inside. Not that you can tell. I added a little fake wood grain trim that I picked up awhile back. Thanks to USN_JeepXJ posting the part number I put those little rubber bumpers in the console lid. Definitely helps with the movement. Dorman 45393 or at Napa BK665-1478. I could not get them in though without trimming the part that is countersunk. I finally got around to soaking the emergency brake adjustment in PB Blaster and covering with Fluid Film since the power washing underneath. I keep it like that all the time.
Oh you have no idea. My '00 bought a little on the cheap side was running but not really driveable. I was just going to do a simple little refresh and with some luck it would be the last 4X4 I would buy in my lifetime. I have owned some sort of 4X4 since I was 16. So I came around looking for tips on basic repairs. What do you do when you bust the top bolts on rear shocks. Stuff like that. Then I see what guys are doing to their Jeeps. All the options that my Jeep did not come with. Craigslist and Ebay are not helping either because I am actually finding these parts. Factory running boards, overhead console, cruise control, factory tow hooks front and rear, factory skid plates, privacy glass, removable headrest heated power seats, etc. I see the '98 Grand Cherokee 5.9 hood louvers that somebody put on their XJ. Love the look. Of course I had to have them. Don't even care if people think they are ghetto stick ons. I know. Let us not forget the spare tire cover out of one of those. See the spoiler on the back of the European Orvis ones and find an aftermarket reproduction. Then let us not forget upgrades. My battery cables kind of need replacing. Well if we are going to do that might as well upgrade. Oh and while we are here might as well put in a bigger alternator. Oh and let us not forget the head harness upgrade. And my Jeep is just a DD. My days of thrashing around out there are long over. So I am not even talking about lifts, tires, heavy duty steering, long arm stuff. But yet I am toying with the idea of duplicating an Up Country suspension. I have no idea what happened. With the exception that I blame all you guys. LOL.
