EZEARL I did the same thing to stop the control arm pinching tranny cooler lines. I also have 10 extra if anyone needs them xD

Thanks man, much appreciated. I may take you up on that; I have been trying to figure out how to get my 3rd brake light and/or this freaking hydra of electrical wires in order to do so. It looks like the PO spliced into it for a trailer lights connection and I can't figure it out.

Attachment 402762 got some crappy mounts for the Comanche from a terrible seller. Hopefully they hold together for a couple weeks at least so I don't have to spend even more money on my truck. Can't get any quality these days.

Wednesday, finally got my alternator out, what a pita it was, took the battery tray out, wouldn't come out from the top, had to take the fan shroud off and the front alt. bracket off to wrestle it thru the bottom. rerouted the off road lights wire thru the firewall, they were going out thru the fender and thru the door, up into the dash. i put them thru the hood release cable hole and shrunk wrapped all the connections for the lights and the fan too. Thursday morning, ordered new alt. and belt from advance auto, with 25% off coupon. last week ordered windshield trim clips from partstrain.com, got them Wednesday.

I do have to say though, no one should be afraid to do this job. Its honestly not hard to do. There are just a ton of bolts that need to be removed and in the correct order. Helpful hint to anyone doing this, after you remove all the bolts to a panel and remove the panel, put all the bolts back in to where they came from. That way, you dont lose anything and you dont have to remember where each bolt goes.

If you don't have A/C, or if you have dealer-added A/C, it's a 15 minute job
If you have factory in-dash A/C, it's a full weekend project behind the dash and under the hood

My son and me did our '96 S10 Blazer quite a few years back now. Having an extra set of hands helped. My son held the dash out of the way while I did the heater core. But basically it's the same as 5-speed describes below. GOOD IDEA of his to remove everything completely to clean out the duct work.
