You have to be careful when doing this though. Not so much the POR 15 part but the prep for the POR 15. You have to spray it down with cleaner/degreaser. Which you don't want to get in the tracks. You want the grease in there. Then you have to spray it down with water. Again not trying to douse the whole base just rinse off what you are going to POR 15. Then you spray metal prep and rinse that off. Same as before. I plan on regreasing as much of it as I can before I actually install it. Figure extend the screw part that comes out of the motors and slap some grease on them and get as much in the track as I can. Now to decide if I should just use regular grease or white lithium. I have both in tubs. I tried the CRC white lithium spray grease on the driver's side when I did that a while back and was not overly thrilled with it. It was kinda watery until it "solidified". Rather just glob on it on.

Pulled the bumper, winch, and trucklites per the new owner's request.

Needs a LOT of cosmetic love, but the damn thing runs like a champ, cold AC, and its a 5spd 4x4 with manual windows/locks! Sweet!

Hooray, coolant leaking down the flywheel inspection cover and its not a heater hose...
I guess that solves the mystery of "Where is my coolant going?"
Now I get to pull the trans out for a stupid $2 freeze plug. I want to build a stroker so maybe I should start collecting parts instead

I loaded the Comanche as full as I could with scrap and drove it for 45 minutes back home on the highway with no power issues at all. The rebuild runs good and strong. Not quite sure how much weight I had in it, but the rear end was squatting at least 2.5" lower than normal ride height.

Well, its going to be a while unless it really starts leaking like a sieve. I'll grab some measurements when I do get it all apart though

I found a broken motor mount on my white one so I got some work to do.
