Finally! Awesome man. Hell, that car looks like it was built specifically for hauling XJ hoods around, lol.

Finally pulled the drivers door harness to see if I could find why the windows work when it wants to problem. Was expecting to find some toasted wires, but the heavy ground on brown, yellow, black plug was almost broken in half. Soldered it and double heat shrink and no flawless working.

I've spent the past couple days tinkering around with adding circuits to my PDC with varying amounts of success. Check the build for full details: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/pr...5/#post3511351

Default Finished the Front End !

Did the ZJ steering tierod upgrade, ran the rest of my front brake lines. Everything is new or replaced up front, except the control arms. Now just need a Lube Locker gasket and grease for the D30, and going to get a set of the axle tube seals. Will be heading to the other end next ! ZJ rear disc swap, new rotors, rebuilt calipers. New SSTL brake lines. And will be installing a Lokka lunchbox locker in the rear end with new grease and a Lube Locker gasket! Will update as I go !

BEEFY ZJ steering tie rod !

Shot of the abutment clips !

Close-up, showing the orientation of the abutment clips. Help to prevent divots or ruts in the caliper slider rails.

Driver side SSTL brake lines.

Passenger side brake lines.

It's a reusable silicone gasket so you never have to use RTV on them again. I'm a fan

I would like to clean up a few things too. Also wire some future projects a little better. Hell I am confused about putting in an aux fuse box when I upgrade my alt and battery cables. Never mind what you are trying to accomplish. LOL.

Those red calipers sure are pretty. I was thinking of doing this as well to make a visual break on my black on black wheels. The rotors you are using, is that an e-coating? I was looking at these:

What did i do to my Cherokee today?

Well let's see... here's a hint.

Just wanted to throw in an extra set of 2" lift shackles i had lying around, level out her stance till i swap rear end and leafs. Simple. Ugh.

FINALLY get that side done, move on to the passenger side... Weld nut didnt break, buuuuuut the bushing sleeve is siezed to the bolt.

**** this. Enough fun for one day, I'll deal with that tomorrow.

The funny thing is, this Jeep isnt even rusty. At all! SUPER clean underneath. Sometimes the automotive gods just decide to throw lightning bolts at you.

Oh and i yanked the rear shocks and sway bar.

So there's that.

Yay.

Yes, they are Centric coated rotors. The fronts are part # 120.67022 , they are the cast rotors for 99.5 Cherokees. They have the taller hat @ 2.13" . I bought matching rotors for the rear ZJ rear disc brakes. I believe thier part # was 120.67022 ? The pretty red calipers are hardly visible after I put my new wheels on !!! Maybe you can see them when it's rolling ? No matter, I know they are there ! It's worth it to me, thanks for the compliment !!! The rotors you are looking at are sweet !!! I just decided on plain surface. I was just concerned about getting a rock stuck in them or if they were more prone to cracking ? I believe that I got both of my fronts for about $80 shipped, on ebay. I paid $72 for both rears. I've seen the rears as low as $25 each ! Post some pics of yours when you do them !

Hey, it's a Jeep thing !!! The gods smiled on me today, for a change !!! Everything was going smooth as Exlax. I started the day by topping off my tranny fluid. Then decided to just get the rear end up on stands and remove the tires. But, I just kept going !!! Got the entire axle pretty much stripped and ready for the ZJ disc brake swap, new axle bearings and seals. Going to install a LOKKA, with new grease and a Lube Locker gasket. Tomorrow should be a pretty good day too. Mostly just cleaning and prep work. Can't put anything back together yet, as some dufus on ebay, sent me the wrong axle bearings !!! I think they were for a Dana 35, a lot smaller. But, overall, today was a joy !!! I still have to go thru what you're doing, not looking forward to it !!! Good luck !!!
