I have not tried a Lube Locker but I really want to. Your diff mating surface should be gouge-free though, which mine is not.
IIR, it says to allow 10 minutes to skin over, then apply within one hour, wait 24 hours to replace fluids.

Default A Lil Bit More Today !

Didn't do a whole lot. Finished scraping the 1/8" thick grime off the differential cover and cleaned it up. Finished rebuilding the calipers. And installed my ZJ backing plates !!!

ZJ rear disc backing plate with new e-brake shoes and hardware !!! Compliments of Wagner and Ebay !!!
As for tomorrow,,, I think I'm going to install my XJWONDERS upgraded battery cable kit ! Then maybe run the new headlight harness and install the new Europal headlights ! After that, if I get that far,,, start replacing my valve cover torque spacer grommets!!!

Lol oh Chevy Chase...

Thanks man, she's getting there. Getting started on the paint and bodywork soon, think she's gonna look pretty cool.

Both sides of my lower rear quarters are the only real rust problems on mine. I've been seriously considering doing the chop/cut/fold on them, and doing my front to match, just like yours !!! That looks more like a Jeep should !!! Looks damn good to me !!!

Default The BIG BROWN TRUCK !!!

What I ultimately end up doing today, is wholly dependant on one thing,,, THE BIG BROWN TRUCK!!! If it shows up today, I'll be proceeding with the rear axle project ! Finishing up the ZJ disc brake swap and installing the LOKKA lunchbox with a new Lube Locker gasket ! Heck, I may be bleeding brakes this afternoon !

Lol thanks man. And I'll keep my fingers crossed that you see the OOPS truck today. Your setup is coming out slick as snot bud!

The front chop isnt due to rust, just to clear the bumper i have on order for it. Despite the debacle with the shackle bolts, the jeep itself is completely rust free. Haven't decided yet on the back. Probably gonna fab up my own rear bumper eventually, not sure yet if im gonna do the cut n fold yet.

This morning i got the BPEs & rear shocks in, changed the fuel filter, and yanked the front sway bar.

I really wish I did a cut and fold bumper. My quarters are dented and squashed. If you fab me a cut and fold bumper I'll send you mine haha

IRO's DIY rear bumper is only $250 and comes 90% together already. Uses the strongest mounts I've seen. Can easily add a piece of tube to run under the panel if needed. I bent the bumper ends to close the gap but some people use filler pieces to keep the bumper up to the quarter panel.

I like that, and hell for $250 i may go that route. The if i end up doing a cut n fold job later i can just extend it underneath.
