Second link seat covers, not a fan of cover craft after getting a set earlier this summer. Even talked to them on the phone. Told them seats were leather, power and heated. There was no provision for the wire between upper and lower, so couldn't attach the velcro for the uppers, and the straps going under the seat had no room to adjust tight. They went back, was charged 25% restock fee. So they won't be contacted again.

Yeah Ralph ive said it before, but that interior is seriously beautiful. Great job man.
Well, got my TC linkage adjusted up, all is working as it should now. It's smooth, but now that ive had one, a Boostwerks kit is in her future.
Ran a jack around to each corner and flexed it as much as the jack and a block of wood will allow, all good in the clearance dept.
Then just some oddball stuff. Adjusted all the doors, got em sealing up better, and evened out the gaps. Chased down an irritating chirping noise, ended up being where the top of the back seat latches in. Threw the rear bumper caps back on for now.

I pulled the Dana 30 cover, drained the grease. Cleaned the mating surface and whole front axle, and the cover. Sanded the cover a little bit and painted it satin black. Cleaned up the bolts and drain plug. Put it back together with a Lube Locker and a brand of grease from Rural King, Mystik JT7 75w90 synthetic blend. Cleaned up my battery hold down and bolts/nuts. Adjusted my belt tension with my latest new toy. A Gates Krikit belt tension gauge. Was going to install my hood struts, but quit because it was about 90* !!!...
Shoulda kept her! You should buy a beater with a heater at least
Finally got around to installing my homemade hood lift strut kit !!! Works great ! Pull the hood up about halfway, (which is even easier with the struts), then let go, and she floats up all the way, stops just before full extension, then goes up all the way ! Got the right angle on the hood when opened too ! I'm only 5'9" and had to tippy toe and stretch to pull the hood down, not to mention, walking around to the prop rod !!! Kits are $$$ ,,, not anymore !!! I did this upgrade for under $30 !!! 😎 Ahhh, the POWER OF EBAY !!! I tried to upload a video, but mine's in the wrong format ? Here's some pics !!! Gonna do a full detailed install guide in the modified XJ forum...

It's not a kit. I bought individual pieces, made my own. I did a thread in the modified XJ forum with details. Any length struts will work, shorter are better. 12-14". Then do a search for 10mm ball stud mounts. You may end up spending less than I did. Don't know for sure what you mean on the steering ? I did the ZJ steering tie rod upgrade. Not currently interested in going to one ton nor OA.

It shouldn't be too bad.. The frame rails are good.. the back cargo is good..just the pans are shot. It just look worst then it really is..After cutting and sanding we will see the full story of how bad it is.
Im just regretting that body seam sealant smell when grinding and sanding it all off.
